people tell me all the time that i am snobby. ever since i moved to this place from a more well to do area everyone thinks “i am a stuck up rich bitch” just because i am shy (stuck up?) and have some things like designer bags, nice car, etc. i really am nice to people but it seems like there must be a snobby “air” about me for everyone to keep saying this. help, advice, is appreciated! thanks. =] jenn

im a really quiet person, so i understand this…people tell me im snobby all the time but im not. fuck them.
I am the exact same way…my mom says that people associate shyness with snobbyness. Also, people are probably jealous of your nice things and need to find an excuse to be mean. I’d just keep being nice and they’ll see that it’s not the material things that make you who you are. Those are just a bonus

You’re right, it could be a perception thing. When people are shy this seems to happen. People think that because you don’t smile, or speak, you are being snobby. Wierd, but true.
Listen to yourself when you speak. Try to match their speech patterns. If someone is loud, be louder. If someone is softer, be softer. It helps.
